The use of methenolone during a bulking cycle seems limited at best. Methenolone is also one of few steroids where the identical parent compound is available in both oral and injectable form with the only difference between the two being the ester attached. Oral Methenolone has an acetate ester attached and is non-17-alpha-alkylated. Therefore, methenolone acetate is considered to be non-toxic to the liver. The drawback to having a non-17-alpha-alkylated oral compound is that the efficacy of the drug is reduced thereby requiring larger doses. Daily dosing of this compound is necessary due to a short half-life and dosages of 100 mgs for men and 25 mgs for women are common.
